ABOUT THE ARTIST
- I
originally trained as a teacher in London, then moved to Brighton in
1976 where I went to Brighton Polytechnic Faculty
of Art and Design. I gained a degree in Graphic Design in 1980. I lost
most of my vision due to cataracts in both eyes and only began painting
again after successful operations in 1995. My visual liberation has
completely altered the way that I paint. I love to use strong, rich
colours to describe the changing landscapes around me. I use pastels,
pen and ink, and acrylics to interpret what I see.
